I saw one regular mountaineering ice axe but couldn't see clearly the other one (is that a bent shaft?) Most people would go with two tech tools for this condition. Ice screws for protection? <br>50度不是什么要命的坡度，我爬到这儿一直用的是大镐，小镐还挂在腰里没用上呢。单支大镐爬到60度是没问题的。这不是水冰，但讨厌的是冰质很硬脆，一镐上去哗啦啦碎下来一大块。

<br>The sharper more curved pick of the tech tools do handle this type of ice slightly better than the straight pick of mtn axe but the big difference is on solid water ice. Mtn axe can handle up to 60 degree and it's more likely you'll use the spike instead of the pick for below 45. But if you are approaching 60 and start to have to use the pick, the bent shaft tools will defintely save you energy and knuckles.
