For anyone come visiting California and willing to take my free guide service, this is the first mountain we'll go for warm up. It's about 4000m. Good view and non technical. Relatively short distance too: only about 5 km hike one way and 1000m elevation gain from the parking lot. However, if you do want to be technical, look at the couloir (snow gully) on the left of the peak (which didn't go all the way to the top). It's about 40 to 50 degree nice hard snow during early spring (mountain axe and crampon suffice, no need for protection). Solid water ice near the end of summer.

<br>My service is completely free but also no guaranty of safety or satisfaction. You might also find the guide is moving slower and get lost more often than you do. (I am getting too old for this stuff). Just want to make friends. -iceaxe
