Eyewear for skiing is essential - the glare off the snow during bright days exposes skiers to harsh UV rays, having tinted lenses with UV protection can enhance your visibility. Skiing in extreme weather conditions: snow, sleet and mixed precipation makes a day on the slopes miserable without decent ski goggles. Check out these goggles for a pair that fits your needs, face and budget comfortably.

6) CliC Goggles
"New School Cool" is the only way to describe these funky new goggles that actually appear to be lightweight, next-gen sunglasses with an adjustable plastic band to fit the goggles tightly around the head. The "cool" part is that they magnetically "clic" together between the eyes, and you can choose your own color combination for frames & lenses. Note: website link does not have secure shopping.

Before You Buy Snowboarding Goggles
Every snowboarder should own (and use) a good pair of goggles. You can't see or ride well without them. Goggles help protect your eyes from harmful sun rays that not only come from the sky but also reflect back up from the snow. And goggles keep out the wind and snow so you can go fast and still see where you're going.
Goggle Fit
A good fit is essential to a goggle's effectiveness, so try on a few different models and brands to get a feel for which ones are better suited to you. The goggles should follow the contour of your face and provide a good seal against the elements. If you ride with a helmet, be sure the goggles fit well with your helmet on.
Fog Control
Double lenses and adequate venting are the two main defenses against fogging. Double lenses, like a double-paned window, have a little air space between each lens. They help a lot with fog control; I don't recommend goggles with a single lens. The frame of the goggle should have a few foam-covered holes for air flow.
Helmet Specific
Some brands make helmet-specific goggles that are designed to fit within the frame of a helmet. They also usually have a longer strap to go around the helmet, with a buckle attachment for convenience. I like the Detonator from Zeal.
Peripheral Vision
Snowboard-specific goggles tend to provide an extra amount of peripheral vision. Because we ride sideways, it makes sense to be able to see sideways as well.
Lens Color
Lenses with a yellow or orange color are good for just about every condition. They will block out bright sun while also providing a little extra contrast in low light. I also really like rose lenses which provide even more contrast - great for overcast conditions. Dark tints are only good for really bright days, and clear lenses are for night riding.
Oakley wisdom
An eye bunker for ice storms, its amplified lens dimensions extend the range of peripheral and downward vision. The precise fit of contoured facial geometry and the comfort of triple-layer face foams are matched with an arctic blast shield that blocks icy powder burns. We retooled the intake ports for channeled airflow that cuts fog while keeping air currents away from eyes. The articulated snap-on strap is available in an optional configuration for use with helmet.
